1. Introduction
Yantra Cloud Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Device to Cloud Manager application (“the App”) handles your information when you use it to manage your data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
We have designed this App on the principle of privacy by default — we collect and store as little information as possible, and what we do handle stays on your device.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
The App does not:
- Transmit personal data to our servers.
- Store your GCP credentials, tokens, or account information on any server operated by Yantra Cloud Ltd.
- Create user accounts or profiles.
- Use analytics, telemetry, or tracking technologies.
- Share any information with third parties beyond what is necessary to communicate directly with Google Cloud Platform APIs on your behalf.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The following information may be stored locally on your device by the App:
- GCP authentication credentials and access tokens — used exclusively to authenticate requests to Google Cloud Platform.
- Application preferences and settings — such as interface preferences you configure within the App.
- Cached resource metadata — temporary information about your GCP resources to improve performance, stored only on your device.
This data is stored using your device’s native secure storage mechanisms and remains under your direct control at all times. You can delete it at any time by removing the App from your device.
4. Communication with Google Cloud Platform
When you use the App, it communicates directly with Google Cloud Platform APIs on your behalf. This communication:
- Is made directly from your device to Google’s servers.
- Does not pass through any Yantra Cloud Ltd-operated server or proxy.
- Is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Cloud Terms of Service.
You are responsible for your own GCP account and any data stored within it. We recommend reviewing Google’s privacy documentation to understand how Google processes your data.
5. Hosting and Infrastructure
The App is made available from infrastructure hosted within the European Union (EU). Yantra Cloud Ltd does not transfer any user data outside the EU.
6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR
Because the App does not collect or store personal data on our servers, the majority of data subject rights (access, erasure, portability, rectification) are exercised directly on your device, where all your data resides.
If you have any queries or concerns about how your data is handled, you may contact us at: directors[at]yantra.cloud
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with:
- UK: the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
- EU: your local Data Protection Authority
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to ensure the App is built securely. However, the security of data on your device is dependent on your device’s security controls. We recommend keeping your device OS and the App up to date.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
